Folkloric Carving by India Rose Bird

Thursday 4 July 2013

Leeds College of Art graduate India Rose Bird has designed a collection of woodblocks and used them to print wallpapers inspired by ancient African masquerade and folklore.

Images of masked, dancing figures and the geometric silhouettes of village buildings inspire the jigsaw-style repeat patterns.

The collection is in line with our autumn/winter 2014/15 macro trend, Modern Myth, which explores the renewed interest in folklore and storytelling through design.
