Italian brand Eger is reverting to its roots by reproducing a series of dishcloth designs from its archive of original 1940s-50s woven samples. Inspired by a time before the impact of mass production, Eger has gone back to basics to encourage a more human connection to textiles. Fabrics are washed and finished individually to create a soft, worn-in hand feel.

Solid rainbow brights of saturated reds, orange, lime and yellow are highlighted with bold plaids creating a refreshingly simple and striking effect.

Eger is also known for its production of 100% hemp fabric, which was recently used to upholster Moroso's striking yellow sofa for Diesel, showcased at Milan Design Week 2012.

Using only natural fibres, Eger practice sustainable processes and promotes hemp in particular. Recycled fabrics are re-spun and woven and off-cuts of yarn are formed into unique upholstery fabrics.
