Floating table by Ingo Maurer for Established & Sons
Ingo Maurer has collaborated with British brand Established & Sons to create a dining table without legs. This is a rare foray into furniture by the acclaimed designer, who is more usually known for his immense portfolio of lighting pieces, which bring together the latest technologies to blur the boundaries between art and design.

Floating is an ingenious dining table made of wood, and comprises a tabletop and set of 4 chairs, which replace the legs. The left arm of every chair is fixed underneath the tabletop on a metal track, allowing the user the slide the chair in and out as necessary.

The piece has been launched by Established & Sons in Zona Tortona for Milan Design Week, and is one of twenty new products making up the brand's eighth collection.
